Tim Schall

Artistic and Executive Director

Tim is the 2024 recepient of the Arts and Education Council of St. Louis Arts Catalyst award. He has been guiding The Cabaret Project of St. Louis as both Artistic and Executive Director since the organization’s inception in 2010. TIm is also the founder of TCPSTL’s teen performance training program Sing Center Stage and the co-founder of our adult song performance training program, The St. Louis Cabaret Conference. The Conference was aknowledged on stage at Lincoln Center during the 2019 New York Cabaret Convention as a national leader in song performance training with Tim present. Under Schall’s guidance The St. Louis Cabaret Conference has developed into one of the top song performance training programs in the country with a renowned, award winning guest faculty that attracts more than 20 singers each year from all over the nation.

As a producer Tim has presented top national talent for 14 years inlcuding Tony winners Faith Prince, Christine Ebersole, Jason Robert Brown, Rachel Bay Jones. Broadway’s Robin de Jesus, Liz Callaway, Norm Lewis, Jason Danielly, Darius de Haas, Karen Mason, Christine Andreas, Sara Sheperd and Jason Graae. The legendary Marilyn Maye leads a roster of New York jazz/cabaret/nightclub artists that Tim has presented that also include Ann Hampton Callaway, Billy Stritch, Tony DeSare, John Buchhino, Barbara Fasano, Eric Comstock, Jeff Harnar and Andrea Marcovicci,

Tim has served as adjunct faculty at Webster University, teaching their Cabaret Styles Performance class to seniors in the University's Musical Theater Conservatory. The national publication Cabaret Scenes Magazine highlighted his work as a cabaret force in a feature articles in both 2009 & 2016.

A veteran singer and actor, he has performed on stage at Lincoln Center (2019 New York Cabaret Convention) and was was nominated for a St. Louis Theater Circle Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor for his performance in The Normal Heart. He has appeared with multiple theaters in St. Louis and Chicago. He has sung with both the Chicago and St. Louis Symphony Choruses and was a soloist with Webster University’s Opera Scenes evening in 2015. He is a Missouri Arts Council Touring Artist and has performed and taught song performance workshops throughout the state.
