The Ballroom Cabaret at The Sheldon Concert Hall

The Sheldon Concert Hall’s Ballroom sits directly above the buildings main concert hall and is original to the building which was opened in 1912. It is regularly used as a sophisticated setting for galas, receptions and other special events.

When the Cabaret Project and our two education programs The St. Louis Cabaret Conference and Sing Center Stage perform there the space is transformed into The Ballroom Cabaret, an elegant 160 seat table and chairs listening room. As the photos below show, the transformation includes a beautiful red theater curtain, chandelier, round top table and chairs, table lamps and a 8 inch high stage platform.  All this is made possible with support from The Gateway Foundation.
